Deputy Prime Minister of Portugal inaugurates, 1st Vivafit GYM IN Abu Dhabi
On December 3rd 2013 the Deputy Prime Minister of Portugal Mr. Paulo Portas, cut the ribbon of the 1st Vivafit in United Arab Emirates, in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Vivafit Abu Dhabi is located in one of the most emblematic buildings of Abu Dhabi: the Shining Towers.
Paulo Portas praised the mission of Portuguese companies that internationalize specially outside Europe, thus contributing to balance of payments surplus for the first time since 1948.
Vivafit is internationalizing its concept and is creating jobs for Portuguese instructors around the world.The machines used in the circuit training are also manufactured in the north of Portugal in Miralago factory.
Following the AICEP trade mission to Dubai last year with the by the then foreign minister Paulo Portas, this Master franchising contract was signed in June with local entrepreneur Otima Bhanot, in a ceremony with the presence of Portuguese Ambassador and Vivafit CEO, Pedro Ruiz.
In June Otima Bhanot said that the plan is to open 4 more centres of her own in Abu Dhabi and sub franchise two more in Al-Ain. The goal is to reach a larger number of women and also invite nutritionists to help women change their lifestyle.
Vivafit has recruited 2 Portuguese Instructors and one of which is already working in Abu Dhabi as the club manager.
For the founder of Vivafit in Abu Dhabi, Otima Bhanot, “Vivafit is an advanced fitness centre created for women that specifically takes into consideration how she works, lives and takes care of her well-being. The center’s 30 minute Interval Power Workout is aimed at busy women in Abu Dhabi and it changes the way they see workouts. Bhanot explained that the decision to introduce VIVAFIT to the UAE came about after extensive market research, and identified a strong need among women for a holistic approach that combines advanced fitness exercises with nutritional solutions.
